Unfortunately folks, the time is here. The time to say good bye and look for some other viable option as a fuel is right above us. Minister for Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain, said that the past Government’s decision and policy for CNG promotion was false and that he has set his target to phase-out the CNG sector gradually from all of Pakistan so to save the industrial and domestic sector from gas load shedding.
“Pakistan
Peoples Party government has evolved a policy to diminish the CNG sector by not
issuing new licenses and not renewing contracts of operational CNG stations”,
Government however aims to kill the CNG sector making way for LPG in its
place.OGRA has already given permission to PSO and other for setting up of LPG
filling stations at its current fuel stations. PSO will be setting up 100 LPG
stations.
“The
people of Pakistan will have to bear the gas shortage for another couple of
years, after which things would start to normalize.
As
Pakistan becomes the largest consumer of CNG as a fuel with Iran, Brazil and
Argentina trailing our lead, has aimed to phase-out the CNG sector gradually
throughout Pakistan in coming years to save the industrial and domestic sector
from gas curtailments in future.
Ahmed Huzaifa
government needs to take strict actions against this issue...A better Pakistan must be established!
