ARM WRESTLING IN PAKISTAN

Arm wrestling is a cultural sport of Pakistan and this sport should not be ignored, and we should not only focus on cricket or hockey .The members of federation of arm wrestling do not have any fund from the government to promote it or even play it or organize and event about it and get this trend of arm wrestling back as it was played in few decades back and has been known as sport of strong men.I think this is happening in Pakistan that we are forgetting about our rich culture and just following the western cultures and their everything and their sports too rather than promoting our own culture and sports and arm wrestling is one of them.

In arm wrestling in Pakistan PEHELWAAN get official training and learn techniques how to do it and this can not be done by any one out there this must be learned first and then can be played so the point is this a formal sport and we should promote it and play it and should show our interest in it.And it has many rules and regulations to play this can be played by two people atleast at a time and they should be having same range of their weights so they would have an approximately equal strength.,they have set the range of weights in no to be qualify with each other in arm wrestling.And the one in the federation who play this sport are none as PEHELWAAN and they have good diet they do work out and have strong body and they give their life in this sport and at the end they get nothing I think media  also  hold this responsibility .they should capture and cover this sport wheever they held and show it to the public on television that we should also see this and appreciate this not only cricket to get sponsors and promote their single particular channel .Its federation is playing a major role to support or promote it with their own money in the pocket and they want to be as famous as cricket and other sports are here in pakistan .And even people in foreign countries wants to play with us and but there is no official platform to play this sport and sponsors and everything .Government should make some interest in this sport and make some academis and hire some trainers to train the candidates and make this sport big in Pakistan and not only in Pakistan but also in all our the world and let them see that what talent we got and how much strong we are.

Recently an effort or u can say an event had been organized of arm wrestling in “minar e Pakistan “ Lahore and candidates from all over Pakistan did come and participated in this event of arm wrestling and their were professionals too ove there and also many people or I should say a crowd was gathered there to see and enjoy this sport and the guys who won has been given some reward and prizes and I saw a little push to this sport.And they encouraged the candidates and their was a chief guest too from a politicial party who were there and enjoying it and promoting this game of Pakistan and supporting them and tell them that he would give a fund to this support and they wish them, good luck and said that u people should go in Olympics and this sport should be played over there too.
